The Loan Estimate (LE) is a 3-page standardized form that helps you understand and compare mortgage offers. Here's what each section means.

The total amount you're borrowing from the lender.

Interest Rate

The cost of borrowing, expressed as a percentage. Can be fixed or adjustable.

Monthly Principal & Interest

Estimated total monthly payment including taxes, insurance, and any mortgage insurance.
